The portal offers a resources section for the use of afghan NGO. This is the place where you can share documents and knowledge that could help you in your work. Currently, the ressources section offers computer training manual, donor informations, and portal tips.

The APDA portal updates is an email sent twice a month giving updates about APDA portal.

Images usually makes website more attractive. Putting images on the website should then be encouraged. On the portal, it is really easy to upload some images with the publications. It is also easy to put the image on left or on right.

Each APDA member currently have a 'NGO space' on the APDA portal. The NGO space is the place where people can find the contact information and description of the organisation, as well as the recent publications and next events for this organisation. Since this space is probably the most important place for every members, I am writing this portal tip about it.

The last APDA newsletter (http://www.afghanact.org/en/node/view/660 ) is a document of 39 pages in which we find 20 articles in english, and more in dari or pashto. Instead of putting one pdf file on the portal, it would be better to put the articles individually on the web portal, for the following reasons:

Writting new content is of course necessary for the portal, but it is also very time consumming. One easy way to add content on the APDA portal is to copy a page, or part of page, into the portal. In my opinion, I think that APDA portal should propose only original content. Every media, especially newspapers, relies from time to time on other source of content. For instance, a small afghan magazine which wants to give information about a political crisis in Africa will rely on sources which are outside of its organisation. Although APDA must provide original content, it is also possible to see the portal as a central source of information about peace and democracy activities in Afghanistan.
