APDA network was launched on 1st March, 2000 and since then APDA has performed the following activities.
- Conducted three regular and one emergency coordination meetings.
- In these meetings the director of the members NGOs and liaison officers took active participation and discussed various issues regarding the APDA work plan in Peshawar and Afghanistan and launching a Multimedia Center in Kabul.
- Training and capacity building issues were also discussed and necessary decisions were made.
- In accordance with APDA mandate for the improvement of inner capacity building process, APDA organized a three days training workshop on communication in Rivoli guest house for the employees of member NGOs.
- 40 participants from member NGOs have benefited from this workshop. The resource persons were provided by Preston University Peshawar.
- APDA coordination body provided facilities to member NGOs to take active participation in the current activities of members for peace and democracy. These activities are:
- Afghan Desk HRCP conducted a one-day seminar on Women Political Empowerment and Peas Process
- Conducted one-day seminar for the refugee camp teachers under the title 'Reforms in Afghanistan Educational System' for promoting democracy and human rights organized by Afghan Desk HRCP.
- Conducted seminar on Pakistan - Afghanistan Mass Media Cooperation organized by Afghan Desk HRCP
- Conducted one-day seminar on 'Afghan Print Media for peace and Democracy' organized by Independent Association of Afghan Intellectuals and Afghan Desk HRCP.
- Conducting seminar on 'Preservation of Afghanistan's Cultural Heritage - Guarantee for National Identity and Peace', organized by Afghan Desk HRCP and Afghan Cultural Foundation.
- Conducting a two-day training workshop on Strengthening Human Rights through expansion of Civil Society for Afghanistan - Pakistan civil society Activists organized by Afghan Desk HRCP.
