Women rights in the society

Afghanistan Study Center (ASC ) has arranged a three days workshop in Salman Farse High School, located in Maidan Wardak on the subject of the rights of women. 46 male, 4 female teachers and four security guards participated in the workshop. Qari Abdul Mansoor inaugurated the program by the recitation of the few verses of the holy Quran . Then Sher Shah Safi, Out Reach Officer of ASC, formally inaugurated the workshop. He said that women consist half of the community, but unfortunately their rights are violated in Afghan society. Furthermore, he said that Islam is a complete religion and the rights of every individual are clearly identified.

Children Rights Workshop

ASC workshops team in Sayed Abad High School of Maidan Province conducted a tow day workshop. A total of (54) person including teachers and admin staff of the school attended the program. At the begining, Mawlawi Muhammad Jan, recited few verses of the holly Quran. Then Qazi Khial Muhammad, one of the school teachers, opened the workshop. He mentioned children rights' violation particularly, in the target area and generally in the country. He told that the human rights violations are still exist as obstacles for democracy establishment. More ever, he told that today’s children are the leaders, governors and affairs controllers for tomorrow, so this is the duty of government, line organizations and institutions to give respect to the children rights. At the end of his speech, he thanked ASC and its funding agency for conducting such workshops. Then Mr. Shams explained the articles of the Children Rights’ Convention; at the end of the lecture he answered the questions asked by participants.

Democracy and Election

This workshop has taken place at the Rustum Khail High School of Maidan Province. Total of (56) persons of the School’s teachers and admin staff participated in the workshop. At the beginning, Qari Abdu Malik one of the teachers, recited a few verses of the Holley Quran. Then Safi, the Outreach Officer of ASC Formally inaugurated the workshop. He said: we are thankful to all those helped and paved the way to arrange the workshop here. We are working for Afghanistan Study Centre (ASC) a research and academic organization having no relation with any political party. The purpose of our workshop is to understand whether democracy does exist in Islam or it is opposite with Islam? At this gathering, we just exchange views to prove that Islam has not opposed democratic political system in Islamic word. Then Shamsulhaq Shams, the Master Trainer ASC explained the topic in details. He mentioned the background and activities of ASC and then he talked on the background of Democracy and its types:

Afghanistan Study Center (ASC) arranged a three-day workshop in Qalai-e-Qeeyam High School, located in Maidan Wardak, the southern province about the human rights in which forty-eight teachers participated. The workshop was inaugurated by the recitation of the verses of the holy Quran by Qari Noor Agha and was formally started by the speech of Abdul Razaq, the principle of Qalai-e-Qeeyam High School; afterwards he talked in detailed about the topic and mentioned that these kinds of workshops are very important to be arranged. Then Qazi Abdul Rehman, master trainer of ASC, explained the human rights from Islamic point of view. He said that Islam is a civilized religion; all humans are brothers and sisters, so they should have mercy on each other. Then the participants asked some questions about the topic which were responded by Qazi Abdul Rahman.
