APDA has performed the following activities in the month of August, 2003

Meetings:

• Thrice weekly meetings with liaisons
• Conducted Two Coordination Meetings
• Conducted Executive Committee Meeting
• Participation of Chief Coordinator in bi-monthly protection meetings of Afghan Refugees and Afghan prisoners.

Coordination:

• Cooperation with the Afghan Women Aid organizations led by Fakhr-e-Assad, their publications and other related works
• Meeting of Chief Coordinator and Nabila Faani (Editor in chief of Newsletter, Afghan Peace Act) with the Afghan Intellectuals regarding different issues of peace, democracy , human rights and establishment of independent Association of Afghan Intellectuals
• Meetings of the Chief Coordinator with union of Free Journalists of Afghanistan based in Peshawar to seek further cooperation and to take joint action regarding the national and international issues.
• Participation of Chief Coordinator in liaison office in different function regarding independence day of Afghanistan organized by Afghan General Conciliate and Afghan NGOs
• Referral of one missing Afghan Refugee of Jalozai refugee camp to UNHCR
• Referral of seven applications of the Afghan Refugee women to UNHCR and other related organizations to solve their problems.
• Participation of Chief Coordinator of APDA in the workshop organized on Juvenile Justice System organized by Penal Reforms International
• Participation of Chief Coordinator in liaisons’ two functions of NAB Action Foundation organized for Afghan refugees, Peshawar regarding APDA Activity and platform APDA in Peshawar and Afghanistan

• Organized Two day Workshop on Afghanistan Civil Society and National Consolidation Process On 29,30th July 2003 Kabul Afghanistan
• Participation of members of APDA in Three days work shop on Ways for strengthening human rights in the region 22-24 August 2003 bara gali
• Preparation for one day seminar on ‘Better environment for expansion of peace culture for the Afghan intellectuals and representatives of civil society organization in Kabul, Afghanistan’ conducted on 6th September, 2003
• Preparation of Workshop / Inauguration Ceremony of Web portal of APDA 1st September, 2003 Reports and Surveys
• Visit of Chief Coordinator to Kacha Garhi Camp
• Visit of Chief Coordinator to the repatriation center of Afghan Refugees in Peshawar
• Visit of Chief Coordinator to brick kilns of Sarozai with Ms. Partawmina Hashmi, Director AWRC and General Manager of Friends of Environment and Development Organization (FoED) to see the miserable conditions of Afghan refugees working their bonded basis 29th August 2003
