Gender Training workshop - Khundz

AWN Conducted a two days Gender training workshop in Konduz province of Afghanistan. The workshop was conducted from 21-Feb-2005 to 22-Feb-2005 in which 20 women from various organizations and ministries including Ministries of Health, Education, Communication, UNDPS, UNAMA took active participation.

The training was organized by Ministry of Women Affairs of Khonduz province and the training was conducted by AWN trainers.

This training contained;

A complete information about the development of Gender

  • What is Development
  • How we can change women with these workshops
  • How can we give information to men about Gender
  • What is power?
  • How can we give information to women about Gender
The participants commended the workshop and onsidered it beneficial.
Gender Training workshop - Jalalabad

AWN conducted a 3 days Gender development workshop in Jalalabad from 15-Feb-2005 to 17-Feb-2005. Participants from member organizations, Women Affair Presidentship and other civil society organizations took active participation in workshop.

The training was jointly conducted by AWN and Ministry of Women affairs.

In this workshop the following topics were highlighted:

  • Goal of Training
  • What is development
  • Development for Women, Men and Community
  • Women Power
  • The reason of weakness of women and Point To Reach to power
  • Period of power
  • Short review
  • Equality, justice
  • Review of a day before topics

The participants highly praised the workshop and requested AWN to conduct more workshop like this and to distribute certificate to the trainees.
