Background:

Afghanistan is a war torn country. This country with 25 years of war, continuous drought condition and prevailing poverty affected the standard of living of people of Afghanistan. Due to these conditions some of the people fled and immigrated into other countries, some of them displaced internally in the country and some of them lost their lives. In general the people of Afghanistan and especially women have lost all the living opportunities.

Pre war women had some skills to make handicrafts and not only sell it in the urban areas to get income but also provide trainings to other family members. But during the war, these people were neither able to make these handicrafts nor to train others and these skills almost disappeared.

Therefore, to empower women and enable them to restart these valuables income generation sources and take active part in their family and community welfare of Afghanistan, literacy and refreshing tailoring courses are essential to be restarted in rural and urban areas of Afghanistan.

To achieve these aims, a reasonable fund of 10,000 $ is required to complete the two types of training courses mentioned above.
